A Registered Nurse, Tamara is the veteran of 13 years working in the Emergency Room at Virginia Hospital Center. “I have always been passionate about helping people. I love it here. Everyday is something different. This is a place where people can feel human again.”
Yessica’s background includes work as a pre-school teacher and as a psychologist. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Foundation University Maria Cano in Medellin, Colombia. “I love this place,” she says. “Mission of Love really cares about the homeless and low-income people. We make people welcome here.”
Scheduler and Intake
Tionne has many responsibilities. She is Intake Associate Scheduler, Supervisor for Pickup, and in charge of Orientation for Volunteers in Community Service. Among other things, they call her the “Baby Whisperer” because of her talent for dealing with little children. “I love the people here. I love getting up and coming to work here.”
Díana, holds a dual Bachelors Degree in Global Affairs and Spanish from George Mason University. She has extensive experience in the human service field. Díana says "I'm passionate about serving and advocating for the less fortunate, at MOLC I am able to continue help and make a difference one day at a time and get to go home content."
Supervisor of the Warehouse

Dwight is a Warehouse Maintenance Associate with responsibility for the many items in the organization’s inventory. He has been doing nonprofit work for the last 11 years. “I love helping people, making a difference in people’s lives, which helps me accomplish my goal of making a difference in my life.”
Don has worked at Mission of Love for more than 20 years, picking up donations of clothes and furniture. “I believe in this place. I was a street person, and now I am here to help people the way that Mission of Love helped me. This is more than a job.” Don is a deacon in his church.
